Alanna Bennett:
One of the two founders and Editors-in-Chief of Penguin on the Telly, Alanna is a sophomore at Oberlin College. She was raised in Portland, Oregon.
A major telephile since birth, she has interests in journalism and hopes to spend her life writing for and about the wonderful world of television. She is currently the online editor for The Oberlin Review, as well as an intern over at Give Me My Remote.
Her favorite shows (past and present) are: Community, Pushing Daisies, Bones, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Glee, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Joan of Arcadia, Dead Like Me, and 30 Rock, My So-Called Life, as well as countless others too “guilty pleasure” to speak the names of aloud.
Tori Neuman:
The other founder and Editor-in-Chief of Penguin on the Telly, Tori is in her junior year at Oberlin College. She is majoring in Latin and Greek (with an unofficial minor in all things television) and is from Cincinnati.
She is constantly asked “How do you have the time to watch so much TV?” and never has a satisfactory answer. A secret time turner is the current front-running idea. In her spare time she enjoys getting her friends hooked on the shows that she likes, and has been called both a TV dealer and a TV pimp.
She loves both comedies and dramas alike, and current favorite shows include: How I Met Your Mother, Psych, White Collar, Royal Pains, Burn Notice, Modern Family, Cougar Town, The Good Wife, Glee, Chuck, Dexter, Leverage, Bones, Fringe, Community, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Sherlock. Past favorite shows include: Pushing Daisies, Friends, Sex and the City, Frasier, The Wire, Alias, Coupling, and As Time Goes By.
Hope Rehak: Avid fan culture and TV writer advocate, slash peddler, and huge Sherlock Holmes fan. She is wise and hilarious past her 21 years, and you can read what she has to say more thoroughly over at her personal blog Thirst For Salt.
